This would definitely not have been my kind of movie, but my husband saw it on TV and said it was really good. So, on his recommendation, I bought a copy, since I didn't know if it would ever be on TV again. I had never heard of anybody in it except Armand Assante. At first I had a hard time getting into the story, because the first part of the movie is a jumble of images-- and...。西门得宝是一个胸无大志的客栈老板。为了招揽生意，他吩咐小弟屠昊等人假扮劫匪打劫路人，关键时刻自己假扮“宝将军”出手相助，然后引导客人进店消费。好景不长，得宝的骗局被一个神秘僧人戳穿，一帮人过去挑衅被打的落花流水。祸不单行，灵州刺史何骁为了夺取藏在客栈里的藏宝图，杀害钦差大臣，并嫁祸于得宝。一夜之间，得宝成了朝廷通缉的要犯，在逃命过程中儿子有肉跌落山崖，危难之际被僧人搭救。为了洗清罪名，找到陷害自己的真凶，得宝跟随和尚修炼武功，踏上了一条复仇之路。得宝家族与少林寺的渊源、小弟屠昊的背叛阴谋也随之被一一揭开……。
