芭迪（格伦·克洛斯 Glenn Close 饰）经营着自己的律师事务所，她招募了初出茅庐的艾伦（萝丝·拜恩 Rose Byrne 饰）作为自己的搭档，两人向未知的命运发起了挑战。艾伦即将和男友大卫（诺亚·比恩 Noah Bean 饰）订婚，正当她沉浸在幸福气息中之时，名叫汤姆（泰特·多诺万 Tate Donovan 饰）的资深律师出现在了她的身边成为了她的“职业导师”，随着时间的发展，艾伦发现自己似乎陷入了麻烦之中。 接受了顾客的委托，芭迪以腐败之罪名向名叫阿瑟（特德·丹森 Ted Danson 饰）的知名总裁发起了进攻，受到了攻击的阿瑟自然不会罢休，他请来了传说中无往不胜的律师雷（齐杰洛·艾文克 Zeljko Ivanek 饰），打算动用自己的权利和财产给予芭迪全力的反击。。退休工人石爷爷（浦克 饰）带领向阳院的红领巾铁柱（章申 饰）、黑旦（赛罕 饰）、雪花（吴芸 饰）等，响应毛主席“向雷锋同志学习”伟大号召，利用暑假开展丰富多彩的社会实践活动。暗藏的阶级敌人胡守礼（靳维民 饰）则用小恩小惠拉拢腐蚀青少年，向他们灌输资产阶级生活方式，个别不明真相的家长也受旧思想的影响，认为“万般皆下品，唯有读书高”，不愿让孩子们接受社会风浪的考验。在镇党委的支持下，石爷爷带头和他们展开思想斗争，他带领孩子们去工地接受段炼，培养他们从小树立集体主义思想。石爷爷认为培养哪个阶级接班人的问题是革命的首要问题，马虎不得。胡守礼蓄意制造塌方事件，千钧一发之机，石爷爷赶到...... 本片根据徐瑛同名小说改编。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
