该剧根据DC旗下Vertigo出的同名漫画改篇，13集的第二季讲述传教士Jesse Custer（Dominic Cooper饰）在知道上帝失踪了后，联同那神经病女友Tulip（Ruth Negga饰）及爱尔兰吸血鬼Cassidy（Joseph Gilgun）出发去找那家伙回来。不过主角们将不会一路顺风，因为从地狱而来的杀人犯将会追杀他们。。为了后述的全金动画第4作『Invisible Victory』，由千明导演担任总指挥，使用2010年代下的最新技术对第1期动画进行了改进，自2017年11月起，以『TV动画「全金属狂潮！」导演剪辑版』为题的三部曲总集篇在两处东京·一处大阪的影院进行了各自为期一周的期间限定上映。Baby Annie is HIV positive and has been left in the hospital by her drug addicted mother.
