该剧讲述民国十六年至抗日战争后期，发生在河南的一个故事。是以黄河、钧瓷、豫剧河南三大文化元素为背景依托讲述的一个故事；是以河南人民饱经种种苦难和磨砺，依然在这块土地上生生不息的一个故事；是以主人公贺焰生为代表的一群河南人，用血肉之躯捍卫民族尊严，捐躯中原文化，悲壮、感人、传奇的一个故事。。The story takes us back to 1889, in the wake of primary school teacher Louise Violet who is sent to a village in the French countryside to enforce Republic schooling (which is free, compulsory and secular). It’s a mission which secures her unpopularity, among children and parents alike…。
